Tower Plunge
About Tower Plunge
Tower Plunge is a one-finger arcade game about a bouncing ball and a very tall tower. The ball bounces on the rings that circle the tower; drag left and right to turn the tower and line a gap up under the ball, and it drops to the next ring with a loud crack as the ring bursts apart. Every ring has a gap, but more and more of them have red segments: land on red and it is splat, back to the start of the level. Drop through three rings in a row and the ball catches fire: it smashes straight through the next ring, red or not. Later towers have rings that turn by themselves, so you have to time the drop. Each level is a new tower with its own colours, and your score keeps climbing as long as you keep clearing them. The towers are built fairly: there is never red right under a gap, because a falling ball reaches the next ring faster than anyone can react, and a computer player with human reaction times clears every level in our tests. Tower Plunge is free to play in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer.
How to play
Drag left or right anywhere (or use the arrow keys) to turn the tower. Line up a gap under the bouncing ball to drop through. Avoid landing on red segments. Fall through three rings in a row to catch fire and smash the next ring. Reach the rainbow ring at the bottom to clear the level.
Questions
How does the fireball work?īŧ
Fall through three rings in a row without bouncing. The ball catches fire and breaks the next ring it touches, even a red one, then bounces off and carries on.
Is there always a safe way down?īŧ
Yes. Every ring has a gap and at least three safe segments, and there is never red right below a gap. A computer player with human-like reactions clears every level in our tests.
Does my score reset?īŧ
Your score carries on from level to level for as long as you keep going. If you splat, the level starts again and so does the score; your best stays on the leaderboard.
