About Block Puzzle
Block Puzzle is a calm, clever game of fitting shapes onto a board, and you can play it free in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer. The board is an 8Ã8 grid. Below it you are offered three blocks at a time, in shapes ranging from a single square to long bars, chunky squares, corners, L shapes and zig-zags. Drag a block onto the board and drop it anywhere it fits. Whenever a row or a column is completely filled, it clears with a bright flash and makes room for more. Once all three blocks are placed you get three new ones, and the game continues until none of the blocks in your tray can fit anywhere on the board. There is no timer and no rush, so every move is about planning: keep the board open, avoid leaving single holes that only a one-square block could fill, and think ahead about where the big three-by-three square will go. Points come from every square you place and much more from clearing lines. Clearing two, three or four lines with one block pays out big bonuses, and clearing lines with several blocks in a row builds a combo. While you drag, the board shows exactly where the block will land and lights up the lines it will clear, so you can line up those multi-line combos with confidence. Blocks that cannot fit anywhere are greyed out in the tray so you can see trouble coming. When you finally run out of space, you can continue once with a fresh set of blocks that are guaranteed to fit by watching a short ad. Your game is saved automatically, and your best score is kept.
How to play
Drag one of the three blocks from the tray onto the board and release it where it fits; blocks cannot be rotated. Fill an entire row or column to clear it. When all three blocks are used, three new ones appear. Clearing several lines at once, or clearing lines on consecutive moves, scores bonus points. The game ends when none of the remaining blocks fits anywhere. You can continue once with fresh blocks after a short ad.

Can I rotate the blocks?īŧ
No. Every block keeps its shape and direction, which is what makes planning ahead important.
How do I score more points?īŧ
Clear lines. One line is worth 10 points, two at once 30, three at once 60 and four at once 100, and clearing lines on several moves in a row adds a combo bonus.
When does the game end?īŧ
When none of the blocks in your tray can be placed anywhere on the board. Greyed-out blocks in the tray are the ones that currently do not fit.
Is there a time limit?īŧ
No. Take as long as you like for each move.
Is Block Puzzle free?īŧ
Yes, it is free to play in your browser with no download. An optional short ad lets you continue once after running out of space.
