About Word Guess
Word Guess is a cheerful letter-guessing game in the spirit of the classic pencil-and-paper word game, with a friendly twist: instead of anything gloomy, a little passenger floats in a basket held up by six colourful balloons. Guess a letter that is in the secret word and it appears in every place it belongs. Guess a letter that is not, and pop goes a balloon. Find the whole word before all six balloons are gone and you score points and move straight on to the next one. Every word comes with a category to point you in the right direction: animals, food, fruit and vegetables, countries, sports, jobs, nature, space, things at home, music and fun, and ways of getting around, and there are more than three hundred everyday words to discover, from short ones like panda and pizza to long challenges like constellation and photographer. Your score grows with longer words, spare balloons and a streak of words solved in a row, so every round is a chance to beat your best. Stuck on a tricky one? Use a hint to reveal a letter. Word Guess is good for vocabulary and spelling, relaxing enough for a tea break and simple enough for children to enjoy. How to play
Tap a letter on the on-screen keyboard, or type it on your keyboard. Correct letters fill in the word wherever they appear and turn green; wrong letters pop one of the six balloons. Solve the word before all the balloons pop to score points and go to the next word. Longer words, spare balloons and a streak of solved words earn more points. Use the hint key to reveal a letter: you start each game with two hints. When the last balloon pops, the game is over.

How many wrong guesses do I get?īŧ
Six: one for each balloon. A new word always starts with all six balloons.
How is my score worked out?īŧ
Each solved word earns points for its length and for every balloon you still have, plus a bonus for your current streak of solved words. Hints cost a few points.
Can I get more hints?īŧ
You start every game with two hints. When they run out you can watch a short ad for another one.
Is it suitable for children?īŧ
Yes. All the words are everyday, family-friendly words, and the category clue helps younger players.
