About Hill Rider

Hill Rider is a physics driving game about one simple question: how far can you go? Pick a vehicle, hit the gas and ride over endless rolling hills that grow taller and steeper the further you travel. Every bump, jump and landing is driven by real physics, so balance matters as much as speed: press the gas to tilt back, brake to tilt forward, and keep your driver from landing on their head. Fuel is the other challenge: your tank drains as you drive, so grab the fuel cans along the way or watch the engine sputter to a stop. Coins scattered over the hills are your reward, and you spend them in the garage on more than forty vehicles, from a nimble trail buggy and a scooter to monster trucks, a double-decker bus, a tank, a hovercraft, rocket cars and even a flying saucer. Every vehicle handles differently, with its own top speed, acceleration, grip and fuel economy, and a few of them carry a special boost for big jumps. Three worlds each ask for something different: the green Countryside, the slippery dunes of the Desert and the icy Arctic with falling snow. Hill Rider plays free in your browser on computers, tablets and phones. Use the arrow keys or A and D to drive on a keyboard, or the big on-screen gas and brake pedals on a touch screen. Your coins, unlocked vehicles and best distance in each world are saved automatically, so every run brings you closer to the next upgrade.

How to play

Press the gas (right arrow, D or the GAS pedal) to drive forward and the brake (left arrow, A or the BRAKE pedal) to slow down or reverse. Gas tilts your vehicle back and brake tilts it forward. Use this in the air to land on your wheels. Collect fuel cans before your tank runs dry and pick up coins to spend in the garage. The run ends if your driver's head hits the ground or you run out of fuel. Vehicles with a boost use Space, the up arrow or the BOOST pedal. Press Esc or the pause button to pause.

Questions

How do I unlock new vehicles?īŧ‹

Collect coins during your runs and spend them in the garage. Each vehicle has its own price, and prices rise as vehicles get more powerful.

Why did my run end?īŧ‹

A run ends when your driver's head touches the ground, or when you run out of fuel and the vehicle rolls to a stop. Grab fuel cans to keep going.

How do I land jumps?īŧ‹

In the air, press the gas to tilt your vehicle back and the brake to tilt it forward, so you can match the slope of the ground before you land.

Can I play on my phone?īŧ‹

Yes. On a touch screen you get large gas and brake pedals at the bottom of the screen.

Is my progress saved?īŧ‹

Yes. Your coins, unlocked vehicles and best distance in each world are saved automatically.
